About the Role

The Guru Field Representative role at Brooks Running is a unique opportunity to lead the company's field support strategy in various distribution channels. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for increasing market share, selling products at retail, and building recognition and loyalty for the brand. Your day-to-day activities will involve collaborating with the Sales and Marketing teams, supporting product launches, and developing grassroots programs to engage customers and promote Brooks' products.

The role requires a strong understanding of the athletic industry, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will be working closely with retail associates, runners, and affiliates to educate them about Brooks' technology and product leadership. Your ability to work independently and as part of a team will be essential in this position.

What You Will Do

  • Lead and manage field support efforts for Brooks at Specialty and Big Box accounts
  • Support Sales and Marketing teams with product launches, in-store merchandising, and grassroots programs
  • Collaborate with Sales management and Marketing on National Account sell-through programs
  • Educate and motivate retail associates, runners, and affiliates about Brooks technology and product leadership
  • Represent Brooks at national and local running events and expos
  • Complete weekly field notes and provide product and competitor feedback
  • Feature in product videos for YouTube, Myagi, and social media
  • Utilize and maintain a yearly product seeding and corporate card budget
  • Maintain appearance and functionality of leased company vehicle and equipment

What We Are Looking For

  • BA or BS degree in Marketing, Sales, or Retail Management
  • 1+ years of Marketing, Sales, or Retail experience
  • Outdoor, Sports, or Athletic industry experience highly preferred
  • Knowledge of performance athletic footwear, sport bras, apparel, and accessories
  • Basic knowledge of retail math, inventory management, and product merchandising
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills

Nice to Have

  • 2+ years of Marketing, Sales, or Retail experience
  • Knowledge of the biomechanics of human motion and injury prevention basics
  • Experience with product launches and grassroots programs
