About the Role

The role is based in Warrington, with standard working hours from 8am to 4:30pm Monday through Thursday, and 8am to 3pm on Fridays. While full-time employment is preferred, the company is open to discussing part-time arrangements for the right candidate, with wages adjusted accordingly based on hours worked. A monthly bonus is also offered, providing an additional incentive for high-performing employees.

What You Will Do

• Perform minor plumbing tasks, such as fixing leaky faucets and unclogging drains
• Conduct minor electrical work, including replacing light fixtures and switches
• Paint and decorate various areas of the facility to maintain its appearance
• Assist with the delivery of gearboxes locally, requiring a clean driving license and adherence to road safety standards
• Help in other departments if needed, demonstrating versatility and a team-oriented mindset
• Keep the warehouse tidy and organized, ensuring a safe working environment
• Participate in general upkeep tasks, such as cleaning and minor repairs
• Occasionally work on projects that require physical labor and manual dexterity
• Provide support during peak periods or special projects as directed by management

What We Are Looking For

• A clean driving license, as the role involves driving for local deliveries
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Basic DIY skills, including minor plumbing, electrical work, and painting
• Physical stamina to perform manual tasks and lift moderate weights
• Excellent problem-solving skills to handle unexpected repairs and maintenance issues
• Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing priorities
• Over 25 years of age for insurance purposes
• Reliable and punctual, with a strong work ethic
• Basic knowledge of safety protocols and practices in a warehouse environment
• Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks efficiently

Nice to Have

• Experience in a similar handyman or maintenance role
• Knowledge of gearbox remanufacturing processes, though not required
• Certification in first aid or health and safety, which could be an asset
• Experience with driving larger vehicles for deliveries, if applicable
