About the Role

The handyperson position at Accor's Mantra Albury hotel is a vital part of the maintenance team, responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the property. As a handyperson, you will be the go-to person for all maintenance, repair, and improvement tasks, working closely with the hotel's management and staff to identify and resolve issues promptly. What You Will Do

  • Conduct regular inspections of the property to identify maintenance and repair needs

  • Collaborate with contractors and other team members to complete projects
  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime and optimize efficiency
  • Provide exceptional service to guests, responding promptly to their requests and concerns
  • Work closely with the hotel's management and staff to identify and resolve issues promptly
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities
  • Participate in training and development programs to improve skills and knowledge
  • Assist with special projects and events as needed
  • Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards

What We Are Looking For

  • Prior experience in a maintenance or handyperson role, preferably in the hospitality industry
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Familiarity with basic carpentry, plumbing, and electrical skills
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures
