About the Role
The handyperson position at Accor's Mantra Albury hotel is a vital part of the maintenance team, responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the property. As a handyperson, you will be the go-to person for all maintenance, repair, and improvement tasks, working closely with the hotel's management and staff to identify and resolve issues promptly. What You Will Do
- Conduct regular inspections of the property to identify maintenance and repair needs
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as repairs, replacements, and renovations
- Collaborate with contractors and other team members to complete projects
- Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime and optimize efficiency
- Provide exceptional service to guests, responding promptly to their requests and concerns
- Work closely with the hotel's management and staff to identify and resolve issues promptly
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities
- Participate in training and development programs to improve skills and knowledge
- Assist with special projects and events as needed
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
What We Are Looking For
- Prior experience in a maintenance or handyperson role, preferably in the hospitality industry
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Familiarity with basic carpentry, plumbing, and electrical skills
- Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures
- Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver equipment and supplies
- Familiarity with Excel and other software applications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
