Job Description

About the Role

The Head of AI at MultiBase GmbH will play a crucial role in driving the company's AI strategy and development. As the first dedicated AI hire, you will have the opportunity to build and lead a digital workforce, designing and deploying AI agents that automate operations, accelerate delivery, and power product development. You will report directly to the management team and work closely with the BI team to integrate AI tooling into their workflows.

As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for architecting and building MultiBase's AI agent architecture, identifying areas where AI can create the most leverage, and developing AI-assisted products. Your mission will be to create a system of AI agents that can handle real work, from HR workflows to business development, and to help the BI team work 3-5 times faster.

You will be working in a fast-paced environment with a team that values innovation, experimentation, and results. Your ability to work independently, think critically, and communicate effectively will be essential in this role.

What You Will Do

  • Design MultiBase's AI agent architecture, determining what agents are needed, how they interact, and how they scale
  • Build and deploy AI agents that handle real work, such as HR workflows, business development, and knowledge management
  • Develop AI-assisted products, including the new Platform and other offers
  • Integrate AI tooling into the BI team's delivery workflows to help them work 3-5 times faster
  • Operate and maintain the digital workforce, monitoring, iterating, and extending the AI agents as needed
  • Identify areas where AI can create the most leverage, through building and experimentation
  • Collaborate with the BI team to develop new AI-assisted products and services
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in AI and machine learning, applying this knowledge to improve the digital workforce
  • Develop and maintain documentation of the AI agents and workflows

What We Are Looking For

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience building AI systems in production
  • Deep experience with LLMs, AI agents, and orchestration frameworks (LangChain, CrewAI, AutoGen, n8n, or similar)
  • Strong proficiency in Python, with experience with APIs, data pipelines, and cloud infrastructure
  • Experience with AI-assisted development tools (OpenClaw, Claude Code & Cowork, Cursor, or equivalent)
  • Ability to design an AI agent architecture and build individual bots
  • Experience working with AI-assisted products and services
  • Strong understanding of data structures and software design patterns
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team

Nice to Have

  • Experience with BI and data analytics, with knowledge of data visualization tools and techniques
  • Familiarity with agile development methodologies and version control systems (e.g. Git)
  • Experience with cloud-based infrastructure and containerization (e.g. Docker)
  • Knowledge of machine learning frameworks and libraries (e.g. scikit-learn, TensorFlow)
