About the Role
The Head of Annuity Distribution at Mutual Of Omaha is a pivotal executive leadership role, responsible for spearheading the company's national annuity distribution strategy. This position entails driving profitable growth, expanding market presence, and fostering strong relationships with key partners and stakeholders. Day-to-day, the successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Product, Underwriting, Marketing, and Operations, to launch new products, enhance existing offerings, and deliver exceptional customer experiences.As a senior leader, you will be expected to build, coach, and lead a high-performing sales leadership team, promoting a culture of accountability, performance excellence, and collaboration. Your expertise in navigating complex market trends, regulatory changes, and compliance requirements will be essential in representing Mutual Of Omaha as an industry leader.
What You Will Do
- Develop and execute a comprehensive national annuity distribution strategy, aligning sales initiatives with enterprise objectives, market opportunities, and long-term business priorities.
- Identify, develop, and strengthen strategic partnerships and distribution channels to accelerate production, revenue growth, and competitive positioning.
- Partner with Sales, Product, Underwriting, Marketing, and Operations teams to successfully launch new products and enhance existing offerings.
- Build, coach, and lead a high-performing sales leadership team, focusing on talent development, performance excellence, and a culture of accountability.
- Establish and manage sales goals, production targets, budgets, and operational plans, ensuring strong execution, profitability, and alignment with company strategy.
- Drive innovation and continuous improvement by optimizing sales processes, leveraging market insights, and implementing strategic initiatives.
- Represent Mutual Of Omaha in industry forums, maintaining strong relationships with brokerage firms, producers, and industry associations.
- Stay ahead of market trends, regulatory changes, and compliance requirements, ensuring the company's competitive edge and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to enhance the advisor and customer experience through product development, marketing strategies, and operational support.
What We Are Looking For
- 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in driving sales growth within the annuity or retirement industry.
- Proven track record of leading high-performing distribution teams and delivering results in a fast-paced environment.
- Strategic, growth-oriented leader with the ability to translate market insights, business objectives, and data into innovative distribution strategies.
- Exceptional executive leadership and influencing skills, with demonstrated success in building relationships, negotiating with key partners, and collaborating across functions.
- Strong understanding of evolving industry trends, technology, and digital distribution capabilities.
- Customer-focused and results-driven, with the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment and commit to delivering exceptional outcomes.
- Experience working with CRM systems, such as Salesforce, and proficiency in Excel.
- Ability to work remotely with a high-speed internet connection and travel up to 75% as required.

- Experience working with National Broker-Dealers and banks.
- Experience working with Independent Marketing Organizations (IMOs) and Broker General Agencies (BGAs).
