About the Role

The Head of Banking Operations at DoorDash USA will play a pivotal role in managing the company's bank partner relationships, overseeing the operational roadmap for providing better user outcomes, and deepening engagement with Dashers. This role is critical in the development of DoorDash's fintech products, aimed at serving the financial needs of Dashers and gig workers. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of digital payments, banking operations, and the ability to drive strategic growth.

The role entails managing the end-to-end operations of DoorDash's banking partners, ensuring seamless transactions, and driving down costs while improving reliability. The Head of Banking Operations will also be responsible for driving the P&L for DoorDash's financial products, ensuring that these products meet the evolving needs of Dashers.

What You Will Do

  • Manage and expand DoorDash's bank partner relationships to support the growth of its fintech products.
  • Own the P&L for DoorDash's financial products, driving profitability and user adoption.
  • Develop and execute the operational roadmap for banking operations, focusing on user outcomes and engagement.
  • Negotiate commercial terms, operational SLAs, and integration roadmaps with bank partners.
  • Lead the execution of money movement at scale, including ACH, OCT, AFT, and cash rails, to drive down costs and improve reliability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to launch and scale new fintech products.
  • Drive strategic initiatives to deepen user engagement and improve the overall financial health of Dashers.
  • Analyze and resolve operational issues, ensuring high-quality service delivery.
  • Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and performance metrics for banking operations.

What We Are Looking For

  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in banking operations, payments, or a related field, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong understanding of banking regulations, compliance, and risk management.
  • Experience in managing bank partner relationships and negotiating contracts.
  • Proven track record of driving operational efficiency and improving customer outcomes.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and drive insights.
  • Experience with fintech products and digital payments is highly desirable.
  • A bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field is required.
