About the Role
The Head of Commercial will play a pivotal role in driving the next phase of growth across North America for GATESOURCE HR. This is a strategic leadership position that requires a deep understanding of capital equipment sales, particularly in the mineral processing sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing a commercial strategy that aligns with the company's regional growth objectives. As a key member of the leadership team, the Head of Commercial will lead the pursuit of major capital projects, build and maintain long-term client relationships, and contribute to the development of evolving commercial models.The role entails working closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product, and operations, to bring market intelligence and customer feedback into strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will have a strong commercial acumen combined with sufficient technical expertise to engage credibly with engineers, metallurgists, and technical stakeholders. The ability to navigate complex customer organizations and build alignment among multiple stakeholders is essential for success in this role.

What You Will Do
- Develop and execute a commercial strategy that aligns with the company's regional growth objectives
- Lead the pursuit of major capital projects and build a strong pipeline of opportunities
- Build and maintain long-term client relationships that generate repeat business throughout the lifecycle of installed equipment
- Introduce and position new equipment segments within the region
- Contribute to the development of evolving commercial models as regional growth strategies mature
- Translate technical capabilities and operational value into compelling commercial solutions for customers
- Partner closely with engineering, product, and operations teams to bring market intelligence and customer feedback into strategic decision-making
- Navigate complex customer organizations to build alignment and drive successful outcomes
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the mineral processing sector and its key trends and challenges
What We Are Looking For
- 12+ years of experience in commercial, sales, or business development roles within capital equipment, mineral processing, or heavy industrial OEM environments
- Direct experience with physical separation equipment, including one or more of the following technologies: Gravity Separation, Magnetic Separation, Electrostatic Separation
- Demonstrated success selling capital equipment and securing capital projects through long sales cycles involving multiple decision-makers
- Strong commercial acumen combined with sufficient technical expertise to engage credibly with engineers, metallurgists, and technical stakeholders
- Proven ability to develop long-term customer relationships that result in recurring business and strategic partnerships
- Experience developing commercial processes, sales frameworks, or go-to-market models within a growing or expanding region

- Engineering, technical, or industry-specific background relevant to mineral processing, industrial equipment, or related sectors
- Experience introducing new technologies or product lines into established markets
