About the Role

The Head of Data Analytics at Sparteo is a pivotal position that bridges the gap between complex data and high-stakes business decisions. This role entails transforming raw data into actionable intelligence, ensuring the BI unit delivers the insights needed to fuel Sparteo's growth. As a strategic leader, the Head of Data Analytics will drive the transition from technical data management to revenue-generating strategy, working closely with the executive team and Finance to inform business decisions.

As a key member of the Sparteo team, the Head of Data Analytics will lead the BI and analytics strategy, ensuring data infrastructure and analysis directly support business growth. This involves collaborating with various stakeholders, including external investors and partners, to provide data-driven insights and recommendations. The role requires a deep understanding of programmatic advertising, data analytics, and the ability to communicate complex data insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

The Head of Data Analytics will be responsible for mentoring and supervising the analytics team, ensuring excellence in dashboarding and reporting. This includes designing and implementing data governance policies, guaranteeing the accuracy and availability of data, and identifying opportunities to integrate intelligent solutions into workflows.

What You Will Do

  • Lead the BI and analytics strategy, ensuring data infrastructure and analysis directly support business growth
  • Act as a VIP-level partner to the executive team and Finance, translating complex data into revenue-generating strategies
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for external stakeholders and investors regarding data performance, accuracy, and availability
  • Guarantee the absolute accuracy of the data warehouse and dashboards to provide a 'single version of the truth' for company steering
  • Supervise and mentor the analytics team to ensure excellence in dashboarding and reporting
  • Design and measure experiments, including A/B tests, switchback tests, and inference-based measurement methodologies
  • Identify opportunities to integrate intelligent solutions into workflows, turning complex manual processes into autonomous, scalable systems
  • Develop and maintain data governance policies, ensuring data quality and compliance
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to inform product development and optimization

What We Are Looking For

  • Proven experience at a Director level in Business Intelligence or Data Analytics
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to understand and optimize Adtech monetization mechanics
  • Expert command of SQL and data warehousing technologies, with hands-on experience in Column-oriented databases
  • Familiarity with modern BI tools, such as Lightdash, Grafana, or Superset
  • Experience designing and measuring experiments, including A/B tests and inference-based measurement methodologies
  • Ability to communicate complex data insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and strategically
  • Experience mentoring and supervising analytics teams

Nice to Have

  • Experience working in the Adtech industry, with a focus on programmatic advertising
  • Knowledge of machine learning and AI technologies, with the ability to integrate these into analytics workflows
  • Familiarity with cloud-based data warehousing solutions, such as AWS Redshift or Google BigQuery
