About the Role
The Head of Engineering at Lemon.io is a pivotal role that will own the technical roadmap of the company. The successful candidate will be responsible for making critical architecture and prioritization decisions, ensuring that every engineering effort directly maps to business impact. This is a hands-on role that involves working closely with the founder and product team to define success metrics before any coding begins.The engineering team at Lemon.io is growing, and this role involves leading and growing this team to ship products fast, iterate constantly, and manage complexity effectively. The company's goal is to build a platform that radically speeds up the process of finding qualified engineers for companies, and the Head of Engineering will play a central role in achieving this objective.

What You Will Do
- Own the technical roadmap and ensure alignment with business objectives
- Lead and grow the engineering team, focusing on high ownership, high speed, and low bureaucracy
- Make critical architecture decisions, prioritizing features based on business impact
- Work closely with the founder and product team to define success metrics and product vision
- Drive the development of automated vetting and intelligent matching at scale
- Address demand-side bottlenecks and figure out where the real leverage is in the hiring process
- Make hard prioritization calls on what to build, skip, or kill in the product roadmap
- Build and maintain a culture of simplicity, speed, and constant iteration
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless product delivery
- Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in software development and AI/ML
What We Are Looking For
- Experience leading engineering teams (5-30+ people) in a startup or high-growth company
- Hands-on experience with modern tech stacks and comfort with AI/ML tooling
