About the Role

The Head of Engineering at Lemon.io is a pivotal position, responsible for driving the company's technological transformation and growth. As a key member of the leadership team, you will own the technical roadmap, making critical architecture and prioritization decisions that directly impact the business. What You Will Do

  • Own the technical roadmap and ensure every engineering effort maps directly to business impact
  • Lead and grow an engineering team that ships fast, iterates constantly, and treats complexity as a cost
  • Tackle the hard, multi-layered problem of automated vetting, intelligent matching at scale, and demand-side bottlenecks
  • Make hard prioritization calls and decide what to build, what to skip, and what to kill
  • Work directly with the founder and product team to define what success looks like before writing a single line of code
  • Build the engineering culture: high ownership, high speed, low bureaucracy
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business outcomes through technology
  • Develop and execute the engineering strategy, aligning with company goals and objectives
  • Foster a culture of innovation, experimentation, and continuous learning

What We Are Looking For

  • Experience leading engineering teams (5-30+ people) at a startup or high-growth company
  • Hands-on experience with modern stacks and comfort with AI/ML tooling
  • Experience working in a distributed, async-first team

  • First principles thinker with a bias toward action
  • Ability to make hard prioritization calls and drive business impact through technology
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles, patterns, and practices
