About the Role
The Head of Finance at vCluster Labs is a critical leadership position that will play a key role in driving the company's financial strategy and operations. As a key member of the executive team, you will be responsible for building and leading a high-performing finance and accounting function that can scale with the company's rapid growth. You will own the company's financial operating system, overseeing financial planning, accounting, and compliance, as well as serving as a key partner to the CEO during fundraising activities.In this role, you will have the opportunity to work closely with the Product and Sales teams to influence the company's roadmap and ensure that financial constraints are aligned with ambitious growth goals. You will also be responsible for leading the preparation of diligence materials and financial narratives required to successfully navigate early funding rounds.
The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in corporate finance, accounting, and SaaS metrics, as well as experience leading finance teams in a high-growth startup or SaaS environment.
What You Will Do
- Build and lead a high-performing finance and accounting function that can scale with the company's rapid growth
- Own the company's financial operating system, overseeing financial planning, accounting, and compliance
- Serve as a key partner to the CEO during fundraising activities, leading the preparation of diligence materials and financial narratives
- Oversee and optimize the financial planning process, ensuring clear success criteria and well-defined forecasts
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including the Board of Directors, investors, and external partners
- Lead the company's accounting and compliance functions, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting and identifying opportunities for efficiency
- Develop and implement financial models and forecasts to support strategic decision-making
- Collaborate with the Product and Sales teams to influence the company's roadmap and ensure that financial constraints are aligned with ambitious growth goals
- Develop and manage the company's budget and financial plans, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic objectives
What We Are Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in corporate finance, accounting, or a related field
- Strong technical background in GAAP, SaaS metrics, and financial modeling
- Experience leading finance teams in a high-growth startup or SaaS environment
- Proven track record of successfully navigating fundraising rounds and managing investor relationships
- Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to effectively articulate complex financial concepts to a variety of audiences
- Experience with financial systems and tools, such as Salesforce and Adjust
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and tactically
- CPA or CFA designation a plus
- Experience working in a remote-first environment a plus

- Experience at a company with an international subsidiary
- Experience implementing and managing financial systems
- Previous experience working with distributed teams in a remote-first environment
- Experience with SQL and data fluency, with the ability to write your own SQL queries against the data warehouse
