## About the Role As the Head of Global Network Partnerships, you will lead a high-performing team responsible for developing and managing critical partnerships with major players like Visa, Mastercard, and American Express. Your expertise will be instrumental in driving Stripe's product strategy and delivering new capabilities to users. With a strong understanding of regional network economics and cross-border complexities, you'll navigate the intricate world of global payments. The Network Partnerships team is a vital component of Stripe's success, and as its leader, you'll be responsible for aligning the organization around a shared, multi-year strategic direction. Your ability to balance long-term thinking with a bias for execution will be crucial in translating high-level strategy into actionable initiatives. You'll work closely with the Leadership Team, Go-To-Market organizations, and product teams to drive business growth and strategic partnerships. Your executive presence and collaborative approach will be essential in navigating complex organizational dynamics and strategic trade-offs. ## What You Will Do - Lead, inspire, and scale a high-performing team managing Stripe's Network partnerships globally - Architect and socialize long-term partnership strategies, acting as the primary catalyst for organizational alignment - Balance long-term thinking with a bias for execution, translating high-level strategy into actionable initiatives - Establish operational rigor and robust processes to ensure best-in-class partner and deal management - Drive cross-functional change management by leading with context and collaboration - Represent Stripe at industry events, forging close relationships with senior stakeholders and championing Stripe's value proposition - Develop and maintain a deep understanding of regional network economics, cross-border complexities, and alternative payment methods - Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including risk, compliance, product, engineering, treasury, and regional teams - Establish a clear hierarchy of priorities, balancing bold innovation with a deep respect for system complexity ## What We Are Looking For - 15+ years of experience in strategic partnerships, business development, corporate development, or a related field - 10+ years of deep domain experience related to payments or card networks globally - Demonstrated executive presence and a highly collaborative approach - 5+ years of experience leading and inspiring distributed global teams - Expert-level understanding of regional network economics, cross-border complexities, and alternative payment methods - Strong proficiency in Excel and experience with GTM strategy - Ability to navigate complex organizational dynamics and strategic trade-offs ## Nice to Have - Experience working with major payment networks, such as Visa, Mastercard, or American Express - Familiarity with Stripe's products and services - A strong network of contacts in the payments industry - Experience with cross-functional team management and collaboration ## Benefits and Perks - Competitive salary and equity package - Opportunity to work with a talented and dedicated team - Comprehensive health insurance and benefits package - Generous PTO and holiday policy - Remote work stipend and flexible working arrangements - Professional development opportunities and access to industry events - Collaborative and dynamic work environment
