## About the Role The Head of Market Intelligence at Stripe is a pivotal role that connects market signals to the company's most critical product and go-to-market decisions. As the leader of the Market Intelligence team, you will define the direction and operating model of the team, ensuring that market insights and analysis are at the forefront of Stripe's product strategy. You will work closely with senior leaders across Product, Engineering, Sales, and Marketing to drive business growth and inform product roadmap prioritization.
The Market Intelligence team is embedded within the Product Marketing organization and plays a vital role in providing customer insights that shape Stripe's product strategy and lead go-to-market efforts across the suite of products. As the Head of Market Intelligence, you will be responsible for managing a team of market intelligence analysts and communicating complex ideas in a clear and actionable manner.
The role is based in SF, Seattle, NYC, Chicago, or Remote in the US, offering flexibility and the opportunity to work with a talented team of professionals who are passionate about driving innovation in the fintech space.
## What You Will Do - Define the direction and operating model of the Market Intelligence team at Stripe - Contribute to company-wide decision-making and roadmap prioritization by partnering with product operations and product management - Work cross-functionally to ensure market intelligence materials are discoverable, actively used, and meaningfully inform decision-making - Lead ongoing market research and competitive analysis, including tracking industry players' go-to-market strategies and messaging - Manage and develop a team of market intelligence analysts - Partner with senior leaders across Product, Engineering, Sales, and Marketing to drive business growth and inform product roadmap prioritization - Develop and maintain a deep understanding of Stripe's products, customers, and market landscape - Identify and prioritize market opportunities and threats, and develop recommendations for the business - Collaborate with the Product Marketing team to develop customer insights that shape Stripe's product strategy and lead go-to-market efforts
## What We Are Looking For - 10+ years of product marketing or market intelligence experience, with a strong preference for candidates with experience working in B2B settings - Demonstrated track record building and scaling a market intelligence program, including tools, processes, and regular executive-level reporting - Proven ability to work cross-functionally to drive results - Ability to leverage data to proactively identify opportunities and deliver impactful recommendations - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to distill complex data into actionable insights - Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas in a clear and concise manner - Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a strong ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines
## Nice to Have - Experience in fintech, payments, financial infrastructure, or developer-facing platform companies, with a strong grasp of how payment and revenue management products are bought and sold - Experience marketing to enterprise buyers or technical decision-makers, with an understanding of complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles - MBA or advanced degree in a related field
