About the Role
The Head of Marketing Operations at Coinbase is a critical leadership position that will shape the future of the company's marketing organization. As a key member of the marketing team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing the systems, processes, and data that power end-to-end marketing execution. Your expertise in marketing operations will enable the team to plan, optimize, measure, and deliver creative and product marketing work that drives business results.The marketing team at Coinbase is a dynamic and collaborative group of professionals who are passionate about leveraging the power of crypto and blockchain technology to update the financial system. As the Head of Marketing Operations, you will work closely with cross-functional partners, including Product Marketing, Creative, Finance, Product, Legal, and Customer Success, to build clear and innovative ways of working across the business.
What You Will Do
- Design and run the marketing operating rhythm, including annual and quarterly planning, monthly reviews, and weekly stand-ups
- Build and continuously improve core marketing rhythms to create a clear and repeatable way for the team to get work done
- Own internal review cadences that maximize leverage from marketing leadership time, ensuring the right topics, data, and decisions are surfaced at the right altitude
- Lead external marketing processes and cross-functional operations, including XFN reviews, approvals, and post-campaign reporting
- Design and run programs that connect Marketing with cross-functional partners, including Product, CS, Sales, Legal, and Finance
- Clarify and document how teams engage with Marketing, ensuring predictable and transparent ways of working
- Drive GTM, creative, and production workflows, evolving GTM and creative workflows to align Product Marketing, Creative, Design, and Product teams around clear milestones, deliverables, and hand-offs
- Establish and maintain production processes, asset workflows, approvals, and tooling to support high-quality, on-time delivery of campaigns and programs
- Own financial planning, reporting, and accountability, partnering with Finance and FP&A to run quarterly and annual planning processes
What We Are Looking For
- 8+ years of experience in marketing operations, with a proven track record of driving growth and efficiency in fast-paced environments
- Expertise in GTM, Excel, and marketing automation platforms
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to distill complex data into actionable insights
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience working with cross-functional teams
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience with budget planning and management, with a strong understanding of financial metrics and KPIs
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field
Nice to Have
- Experience with marketing analytics tools, such as Google Analytics or Mixpanel
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and project management tools, such as Asana or Jira
- Certification in marketing operations or a related field
