About the Role
The Head of Marketing Strategy will play a critical role in driving Lightyear's marketing efforts, working closely with the CEO and cross-functional teams to develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy. This role involves leading product marketing, paid media, and content initiatives to drive efficient pipeline growth and revenue.As a key member of the leadership team, the successful candidate will have a data-driven approach to marketing, with a strong analytical mindset and experience in B2B marketing. The ability to work in a fast-paced, remote-first environment and collaborate with agency partners is essential.
The marketing strategy will involve developing and executing plans to drive awareness, demand generation, and pipeline acceleration. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing marketing budgets, evaluating agency relationships, and driving continuous improvement across all marketing channels.
What You Will Do
- Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy to drive pipeline growth and revenue
- Lead product marketing efforts, including product positioning and messaging
- Manage paid media campaigns, including budgeting and performance optimization
- Develop and execute organic search and LLM visibility strategies
- Collaborate with agency partners to drive marketing efforts
- Evaluate and expand into new customer acquisition channels
- Manage marketing budgets and make strategic decisions on vendor selection and spend allocation
- Lead content strategy and collaborate on content creation
- Drive improvements in marketing attribution accuracy
- Proactively drive and lead key strategic marketing initiatives
What We Are Looking For
- 3+ years of experience in B2B marketing, with a demonstrated track record of driving pipeline and revenue growth
- 2+ years of top-tier analytical experience, with the ability to evaluate marketing KPIs in a holistic manner
- Hands-on experience running product marketing, paid media, and/or organic search programs
- Experience managing and evaluating agency relationships
- Familiarity with AEO/GEO and LLM visibility strategies
- Strong executive presence and ability to collaborate with cross-functional leadership
- Relentless focus on continuous, data-driven improvement across all marketing channels and investments
- Ability to work in a remote-first environment and collaborate with distributed teams
Nice to Have
- Experience building and scaling a remote-first, distributed marketing function
- Familiarity with the telecom industry and software solutions
- Experience with marketing automation platforms and CRM systems
- Certification in marketing analytics or a related field
