Job Description

About the Role

The Head of People and Culture at Bloom HR Pty Ltd will play a critical role in shaping the organisation's culture and workforce strategy, driving growth and evolution in a rapidly changing environment. As a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, this position will provide strategic advice and support to the CEO, Executives, and leaders across the organisation, helping to establish the foundations for a high-performing and sustainable organisation. With a focus on remote work and digital skills, this role offers the opportunity to work with a leading research organisation and contribute to meaningful social impact.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the People & Culture function, driving organisational culture, engagement, and leadership capability, and partnering with leaders through organisational change and transformation. This role will also involve building contemporary people systems, frameworks, and processes, leading employee and industrial relations matters, and supporting workforce capability, retention, and succession planning.

What You Will Do

  • Lead ANROWS' People & Culture strategy and workforce planning, driving organisational growth and evolution
  • Strengthen organisational culture, engagement, and leadership capability through effective stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
  • Partner with leaders through organisational change and transformation, providing strategic advice and support
  • Build contemporary people systems, frameworks, and processes, leveraging digital skills and remote work capabilities
  • Lead employee and industrial relations matters, ensuring compliance with Australian employment law and industrial relations frameworks
  • Support workforce capability, retention, and succession planning, driving psychosocial safety, wellbeing, and trauma-informed practice
  • Oversee organisational development initiatives, remuneration frameworks, and workforce planning, providing strategic workforce advice and insights to the Executive and Board
  • Drive organisational development and change management initiatives, ensuring effective communication and stakeholder engagement
  • Collaborate with the Senior Leadership Team to establish the People & Culture function, driving strategic vision and practical delivery

What We Are Looking For

  • Significant experience in senior People & Culture or Human Resources leadership roles, with a strong track record of driving organisational growth and evolution
  • Strong expertise in organisational development, workforce planning, and change management, with the ability to balance strategic vision with practical delivery
  • Sound knowledge of Australian employment law, industrial relations, and compliance frameworks, with the ability to provide strategic advice and support
  • Experience building or strengthening people systems, frameworks, and processes, leveraging digital skills and remote work capabilities
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, with the ability to partner with leaders and drive organisational change
  • Strong resilience, judgement, and emotional intelligence, with the ability to navigate complexity and ambiguity
  • A collaborative, hands-on, and solutions-focused approach, with the ability to drive strategic vision and practical delivery

Nice to Have

  • Experience working in purpose-driven organisations, government, research, community services, higher education, or complex corporate environments
  • Certification in Human Resources or a related field, with a strong understanding of Australian employment law and industrial relations frameworks
  • Experience with remote work and digital skills, with the ability to leverage technology to drive organisational growth and evolution
