About the Role

The Head of Product Marketing at Plaid will play a pivotal role in shaping the company's product narrative and driving business impact. As a seasoned product marketing leader, you will be responsible for developing and executing the product marketing strategy, leveraging your expertise in GTM to drive growth and revenue. You will lead a team of senior product marketers, providing guidance and mentorship to help them excel in their roles.

The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of the fintech industry, with experience in product marketing leadership at a high-growth B2B SaaS company. You will be a strategic thinker, able to balance short-term goals with long-term vision, and a collaborative leader, able to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Plaid's product marketing team is responsible for driving the company's product narrative, developing marketing strategies, and collaborating with product and sales teams to drive business results. As the Head of Product Marketing, you will be the key interface between product marketing and other departments, ensuring that the product marketing function is aligned with company goals and objectives.

What You Will Do

  • Develop and execute the product marketing strategy, aligning with company goals and objectives
  • Lead a team of senior product marketers, providing guidance and mentorship to help them excel in their roles
  • Collaborate with product and sales teams to drive business results, including quota attainment, time to close, and campaign lift
  • Develop and maintain the company's product narrative, ensuring consistency and coherence across all marketing channels
  • Partner with product leadership to drive product-market fit strategy and prioritize product development
  • Establish KPI frameworks to measure the effectiveness of product marketing initiatives
  • Manage and optimize the product marketing budget, ensuring effective use of resources
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and competitor activity, applying insights to inform product marketing strategy
  • Represent product marketing in executive decision-making forums, providing strategic input and guidance
  • Develop and deliver executive-level presentations, communicating product marketing strategy and results to stakeholders

What We Are Looking For

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in product marketing leadership at high-growth B2B SaaS companies
  • Proven track record of success in driving business results through product marketing initiatives
  • Experience managing large, multi-layered teams, with a focus on developing and mentoring senior product marketers
  • Strong understanding of GTM strategy and its application in product marketing
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data and inform product marketing strategy
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team of senior product marketers
