About the Role
The Head of Product, US Core, is a pivotal position at Tilt, responsible for spearheading the company's core product portfolio. This portfolio, which encompasses Cash Advance, CA+, Thrive, and a range of non-lending products including AI Assistant, Marketplaces, Autosave, Checking, and Budgeting, represents a $400M+ revenue engine. The role is akin to a General Manager position, where the incumbent will be responsible for owning the strategy, pricing, packaging, and product narrative, and will lead the transition from a single-product transaction business to a multi-product financial brand that users choose and return to.The successful candidate will be a seasoned product leader with a proven track record of driving growth through product innovation and a deep understanding of the fintech landscape. They will be adept at making strategic decisions, leveraging data to inform product development, and fostering a culture of innovation within the team.
As part of the leadership team, the Head of Product, US Core, will work closely with various departments, including credit, engineering, design, marketing, and finance, to align unit economics, roadmap, and brand vision. This collaborative approach ensures a holistic strategy that not only drives business growth but also enhances the user experience.
What You Will Do
- Own the P&L across Tilt's core product portfolio, ensuring revenue growth and profitability.
- Lead Cash Advance, CA+, Thrive, and a growing set of non-liquidity products, driving the strategy, pricing, and packaging decisions that shape the business.
- Transform Tilt from a single-product to a multi-product financial brand, shifting the user relationship from transactional to relational.
- Drive top-line growth through product innovation, identifying and executing levers that power the next phase of business expansion.
- Serve as the strategic voice of the user, bridging the gap between credit policy, marketing, and user experience (UX), ensuring that the user's needs are at the forefront of every decision.
- Articulate a coherent product vision, defining who Tilt builds for and why, and ensuring every aspect of the product reinforces this narrative.
- Build and elevate a high-potential product organization, mentoring individual contributors and managers to achieve the next level of seniority.
- Partner across functions to align unit economics, roadmap, and brand, ensuring a cohesive and effective strategy.
What We Are Looking For
- Experience in building and shipping consumer products at scale, preferably in the fintech, lending, or credit space.
- A proven track record of operating in high-growth environments and making crisp decisions without perfect information.
- Director-level experience or equivalent, with a history of managing other product managers and growing them professionally.
- fluency in the language of business, including revenue, profit, retention, and credit policy, combined with a strategic, user-centered viewpoint.
- Founder experience is a plus, indicating the ability to author a product strategy from inception and defend it under scrutiny.
- Ability to rally cross-functional partners around a product strategy, demonstrating excellent communication and leadership skills.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Excel, demonstrating proficiency in data analysis and financial modeling.
- Familiarity with product development methodologies, such as Agile, and their application in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
- Knowledge of fintech regulations and compliance requirements, ensuring that products are developed with these considerations in mind.
