About the Role
The Head of Sales at The Land Geek is a critical position responsible for building and managing a high-performing sales team. This role requires a unique blend of strategic thinking, operational expertise, and leadership skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving revenue growth, optimizing sales processes, and ensuring the sales team is equipped to succeed. This involves working closely with the marketing team to ensure lead quality, developing and implementing effective sales strategies, and providing coaching and feedback to sales team members. The Head of Sales will be responsible for establishing and managing the sales process, from lead intake to close, and ensuring that the sales team has the tools and resources needed to succeed.

What You Will Do
- Own and improve core sales KPIs, including booked revenue, call numbers, and show-up rate
- Diagnose performance gaps across the sales funnel and establish forecasting discipline and pipeline visibility
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies and processes
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of sales contractors
- Establish clear performance expectations and accountability systems
- Implement regular call reviews and feedback loops
- Improve consistency across sales team members and support reps who are strong operators but lack formal sales training
- Define what 'great' looks like on a sales call and improve discovery quality, objection handling, and offer alignment
- Ensure ethical, high-integrity sales practices aligned with customer outcomes
- Partner with the marketing team to improve lead quality and application quality
- Collaborate on funnel optimization and support event strategy
What We Are Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in sales leadership, preferably in a remote or digital environment
- Proven track record of driving revenue growth and sales team performance
- Expertise in CRM systems, particularly HubSpot
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and coach a team
- Experience with sales process design and optimization
- Strong understanding of sales metrics and KPIs
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing circumstances
