About the Role
The Head of Sourcing & Partnerships will play a pivotal role in GTE's growth strategy, focusing on building and maintaining a robust network of suppliers and partners in China. This senior role will be responsible for driving the company's sourcing efforts, identifying new opportunities, and negotiating deals that will propel GTE's eCommerce expansion. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the Chinese supply chain ecosystem and a proven track record of building and managing complex supplier relationships.As a key member of the team, the Head of Sourcing & Partnerships will be expected to operate with a high degree of autonomy, making strategic decisions that will impact the company's growth trajectory. The role will involve close collaboration with cross-functional teams, including logistics, marketing, and product development.

What You Will Do
- Develop and execute a comprehensive sourcing strategy that aligns with GTE's business objectives
- Build and maintain relationships with top-tier Chinese manufacturers and brands
- Negotiate high-impact deals and partnerships that drive business growth
- Identify new sourcing opportunities and trends in the Chinese market
- Manage a team of sourcing professionals and provide guidance and support as needed
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business growth and expansion
- Develop and implement processes and systems to improve sourcing efficiency and effectiveness
- Conduct market research and analysis to stay ahead of industry trends and competitor activity
- Build and maintain a network of contacts in the Chinese supply chain ecosystem
What We Are Looking For
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in China-based sourcing, supply chain, or partnerships
- Proven track record of building and managing complex supplier relationships
- Strong experience in cross-border logistics (China → EU)
- Hands-on experience managing 20+ suppliers simultaneously
- Demonstrated success in negotiation and deal-making
- Experience setting up or managing China-based warehousing or fulfillment
- Deep familiarity with Chinese domestic eCommerce platforms (Taobao, Tmall, etc.)
- Existing network of Chinese suppliers, brands, and manufacturers
- Experience in a results-driven role with ownership over KPIs or revenue
Nice to Have
- Experience working with companies like Shein or Temu
- Knowledge of platforms like Taobao, Tmall, and local networks
- Experience with market intelligence and sourcing strategy
- Familiarity with warehouse/fulfillment operations in China
