About the Role

The Health Economics Associate role at Parexel is a unique opportunity to contribute to the development of therapies that improve patient outcomes. As a key member of the team, you will work under the supervision of an experienced team member to design, develop, and deliver client solutions across multiple projects. Your expertise in statistical theory, data analysis, and interpretation will be essential in driving project success. Daily responsibilities will include collaborating with cross-functional teams, analyzing complex data sets, and communicating findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. What You Will Do

  • Contribute statistical capabilities and methodological support to projects from planning to completion
  • Design, develop, and deliver client solutions across multiple projects, leveraging competencies in statistical theory, data analysis, and interpretation
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals
  • Analyze complex data sets and communicate findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Develop and maintain databases, data systems, and statistical models
  • Perform QC of TLFs and other analysis datasets
  • Review study protocols and provide input to statistics sections
  • Provide statistical input to Clinical Study Reports
  • Support in drafting statistical sections of protocols and performing sample size and power calculations for studies
  • Develop statistical analysis plans and contribute to the preparation of specifications for analysis datasets

What We Are Looking For

  • Master's or higher degree in Public Health, Health Economics, Health Policy, Statistics, Biostatics, Mathematics, or other quantitative fields
  • Familiarity with healthcare consulting or pharmaceutical organizations
  • Strong basis in fundamental statistical concepts and methods
  • Familiarity with techniques such as development of predictive equations, survival analysis, longitudinal data analysis, meta-analysis, mixed treatment comparison, and other hierarchical analysis techniques
  • Strong statistical programming skills with standard software such as SAS, R, SQL, or Python
  • Excellent scientific, business writing, and presentation skills with close attention to detail
  • Exceptional communication skills, especially in relaying technical information and project concepts
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet multiple and sometimes competing deadlines
  • Competent in written and spoken English

Nice to Have

  • Familiarity with machine learning techniques and Bayesian statistics
  • Experience with data visualization tools and techniques
  • Knowledge of clinical trial design and methodology
  • Certification in a relevant field, such as biostatistics or epidemiology
