What You Will Do
- Analyze healthcare utilization patterns to identify trends, variations, and outliers
- Develop and maintain databases to track key performance indicators and metrics
- Evaluate the effectiveness of medical cost reduction initiatives and identify areas for improvement
- Develop tools to compare market performance and inform strategic decisions
- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement data-driven solutions
- Monitor the efficiency and efficacy of clinical programs, interventions, and processes
- Support the intake, prioritization, and coordinated execution of ad-hoc analytics requests
- Identify variables and methodologies to define population cohorts that can be positively impacted through targeted programs and interventions
- Conduct root cause analyses of adverse population health outcomes
What We Are Looking For
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field
- Minimum of two years of experience in healthcare analytics
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Experience with Transact-SQL, SAS, Microsoft Power BI, or Tableau
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to organize data in a way that facilitates inferences, conclusions, and decisions
- Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of healthcare data, including medical and pharmacy claims, EMR data, HIE data, and UM data
Nice to Have
- Managed care experience
- Knowledge of Medicaid, Medicare, and other government-sponsored healthcare programs
- Experience with data visualization tools and techniques
- Certification in healthcare analytics or a related field
