About the Role
The Healthcare Planning Analyst position at Guidehouse is a critical role that involves working with healthcare clients to transform their strategy and business processes. As a Senior Consultant, you will be part of a team responsible for client management, solution implementation, and generating results. This includes supporting day-to-day operational meetings with clients and consulting leaders. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the provider industry, including a passion for improving clinical operations.The role entails working independently with minimal supervision, partnering with others to develop relationships across the engagement team, and leading one or more tasks within a client engagement. You will oversee individual contributions and the work of other engagement staff, ensuring quality deliverables. The ability to communicate complex concepts effectively and prepare well-organized reports and presentations is essential.
As a Senior Consultant, you will be expected to mentor more junior consultants, ensuring the quality of deliverables and contributing to the development of the team's industry acumen and capabilities.
What You Will Do
- Proactively assist in the delivery and management of engagement activities led by Guidehouse Engagement Leadership
- Work independently, with minimal supervision, and partner with others to develop relationships across the engagement team
- Lead one or more tasks within a client engagement, overseeing individual contributions and the work of other engagement staff
- Guide client and internal subject matter expert conversations towards effective outcomes
- Identify and mitigate project risks around scope, schedule, and quality, effectively escalating to engagement leadership
- Develop strategies to solve complex clinical, technical, and operational challenges for healthcare clients
- Support business development activities to help identify, research, and pursue opportunities for new or existing clients
- Contribute to the development of the team's industry acumen and capabilities through contributions with clients and internal firm initiatives
- Perform technical and process analyses, data collection, and spreadsheet creation and management
- Provide detailed fact-finding, research, and analysis to identify and recommend enhancements to continuously improve client operations
- Assess health industry trends to inform clients on leading practices and drive continued transformation efforts
- Develop transformation strategies to inform clients' long-range strategic planning efforts that drive integration, growth, and standardization
What We Are Looking For
- Bachelor's Degree
- Three or more years of experience in the provider healthcare industry, ideally with experience in management consulting focused on healthcare planning of facilities or service lines based on market research
- A thorough understanding of the provider industry, including a passion for improving clinical operations
- Organizational and project management skills, with the ability to work as part of a team and prioritize resources and time effectively
- Experience maintaining project timelines and contributing to project reporting
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills across all levels of business
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Federal or DoD 'Public Trust'
- Strong Excel skills
