About the Role
The Healthcare Virtual Assistant role at Neolytix is a critical position that requires a unique blend of technical and interpersonal skills. As a virtual assistant, you will be the first point of contact for patients and caregivers, responsible for greeting them professionally and collecting accurate demographic information. You will work closely with the clinical team to ensure seamless patient flow and maintain accurate patient records.The role is based in Pasig, Philippines, but as a remote position, you will have the flexibility to work from the comfort of your own home. You will be an integral part of the Neolytix team, working to provide exceptional patient care and support.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills in patient registration, insurance verification, and appointment scheduling. You will work with a talented team of healthcare professionals who are passionate about delivering high-quality patient care.
What You Will Do
- Greet patients and caregivers professionally via phone, email, and virtual platforms
- Collect accurate patient demographic information, medical history, and contact details
- Prepare and process patient admission and discharge documentation
- Enter patient information into Electronic Health Records (EHR) and practice management systems
- Maintain accurate and complete patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Verify patient identity and update existing patient profiles as needed
- Verify insurance coverage and eligibility for services prior to appointments
- Obtain pre-authorizations and referrals as required by insurance plans
- Communicate patient financial responsibilities including copays, deductibles, and coinsurance
- Process insurance information and ensure accurate billing documentation
What We Are Looking For
- 1-2 years of experience in patient registration or a related field
- Strong digital skills, including proficiency in Electronic Health Records (EHR) and practice management systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain accurate and complete patient records
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and compliance
- Experience with insurance verification and authorization
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
Nice to Have
- Experience with appointment scheduling and coordination
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
- Familiarity with practice management systems and EHR software
- Certification in medical billing or coding
