Hedge Fund Analyst

About the Role

The day-to-day responsibilities of this role will involve analyzing financial data, creating complex financial models, and presenting findings to senior stakeholders. You will also be responsible for staying up-to-date with market trends, regulatory changes, and industry developments, and applying this knowledge to inform investment decisions. As a remote worker, you will be expected to work independently and collaboratively with the team, using digital tools and platforms to communicate and share information.

What You Will Do

• Evaluate hedge fund strategies and develop financial models to inform investment decisions
• Conduct market sizing and TAM analysis to identify new investment opportunities
• Analyze investment research and present findings to senior stakeholders
• Develop and maintain complex financial models using Excel, Python, or other programming languages
• Stay up-to-date with market trends, regulatory changes, and industry developments
• Collaborate with senior analysts and portfolio managers to optimize portfolios and drive business growth
• Present research findings and investment recommendations to senior stakeholders
• Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including investors, brokers, and other market participants
• Identify and mitigate potential risks and threats to the business
• Develop and implement processes and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness

What We Are Looking For

• 2+ years of experience in top hedge funds or investment banks
• Strong foundation in financial modeling, market analysis, and investment research
• Proven track record of success in evaluating hedge fund strategies and developing financial models
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a virtual environment
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate and organized records
• Experience with digital tools and platforms, including Excel, Python, and other programming languages
• Strong understanding of market trends, regulatory changes, and industry developments
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and maintain a high level of professionalism and attention to detail

Nice to Have

• Experience with data visualization tools, such as Tableau or Power BI
• Knowledge of machine learning or artificial intelligence applications in finance
• Certification in finance, such as CFA or CAIA
• Experience with cloud-based platforms and tools, such as AWS or Google Cloud
• Familiarity with agile project management methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban
