About the Role
As a Senior Health Economics Modelling Consultant at Parexel, you will play a critical role in developing complex health economic models for various health technologies. What You Will Do
- Oversee the development of complex health economic models for various health technologies
- Lead medium-scale projects and provide technical expertise to project teams
- Contribute to business development activities, including maintaining and growing a network of industry colleagues
- Develop and critique health economic models, using software tools such as Excel and VBA
- Systematically search for and synthesize disparate qualitative and quantitative health economic evidence
- Write, refine, review, and critique sections of reports, journal manuscripts, and other deliverables
- Act as primary point of contact and Project Lead, providing guidance and instruction to junior team members
- Support the development of simple cost-effectiveness and budget impact models
- Respond to model questions from clients and authorities, and provide senior models for review and approval
What We Are Looking For
- Sound training and extensive experience in health economics, including the conceptualization and development of cost-effectiveness and budget impact models
- Solid experience of managing modelling projects and leading or coaching project teams
- Experience of programming and software such as VBA, SAS, and R is an advantage
- Keen interest in medical research, provision of healthcare, and the pharmaceutical industry
- Master's degree or equivalent in either life science or a quantitative discipline, such as health economics, economics, mathematics, or statistics
- Deep expertise in health economic modelling, including Excel and VBA
- Solid understanding of HTA-relevant guidelines, techniques, and methodologies
- Exceptional client relationship and account management capabilities
- Proven influencing and negotiation skills, comfortable in discussing trade-offs and methodological decisions with senior client stakeholders
Nice to Have
- Experience of working in a consultancy environment
- Knowledge of generative AI tools for health economics modelling
- Additional European languages
- Experience of delivering sales presentations and participating in bid defence meetings
