About the Role

As a Home-Based Therapist at Damar Services, you will be an integral part of a multidisciplinary team providing individual and family therapy, case management, and oversight to clients in community-based settings. Your expertise will guide the development and implementation of measurable treatment goals, ensuring that each family receives the support they need to thrive. The Home-Based Therapist will work directly with children, adults, and families to address behavioral and mental health needs, aiming to preserve families and empower caregivers. Services are delivered primarily in community or home-based settings, requiring flexibility, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.

What You Will Do

  • Provide individual and family therapy to children and adults, utilizing evidence-based practices to address behavioral and mental health needs.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including supervisors, psychologists, child welfare specialists, schools, case managers, and DCS/Probation staff, to assist each family in meeting their treatment goals.
  • Perform comprehensive formal and functional assessments to inform the development of treatment plans.
  • Implement, coordinate, monitor, document, and evaluate measurable treatment goals for each client.
  • Maintain a clinical case load and participate in clinical staffing for clients.
  • Interact professionally with parents, schools, medical personnel, and other stakeholders, demonstrating high levels of interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Assess and utilize evidence-based practices in therapy sessions.
  • Attend court and DCS/Probation team meetings as required.
  • Provide case management as needed to support clients in achieving their goals.
  • Maintain required productivity standards and participate in ongoing professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.

What We Are Looking For

  • Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health Counseling, or a closely related field, with a license (LSW, LMHCA, LMFTA, LCSW, LMFT, or LMHC).
  • Minimum of two years of relevant experience in a clinical or community-based setting.
  • Child welfare and/or community-based experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of evidence-based practices in therapy and case management.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple cases.
  • Minimum age of 21, as per licensure requirements.
  • Valid Indiana driver's license and a driving record that meets Damar's insurance carrier's eligibility requirements.
  • Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment physical and background screening.
