About the Role
The HR Workday Governance, Integration & Enablement Lead at NielsenIQ plays a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation of Workday across the organization. This involves translating business needs into well-defined requirements, managing dependencies between teams, and ensuring Workday investments are aligned with HR's strategic priorities. The role is situated between HR Centers of Excellence (COEs) and HR Technology, requiring strong communication and project management skills.Day-to-day, this position entails managing the Workday roadmap, prioritizing initiatives, and facilitating governance forums with key stakeholders. It also involves establishing clear categories of work, defining required artifacts at each stage, and ensuring delivery paths for lower-risk enhancements are simplified without compromising quality.
The HR Workday Governance, Integration & Enablement Lead reports to a senior leader within the HR function and works closely with COE System Leads, HR Tech, and other stakeholders to ensure Workday's full potential is realized.
What You Will Do
- Own the consolidated cross-HR Workday roadmap, ensuring it reflects real priorities and realistic timelines.
- Work with COE System Leads and HR Tech to sequence initiatives against capacity and technical constraints.
- Surface interdependencies across COEs and facilitate prioritization decisions when conflicts arise.
- Maintain a standardized intake template for Workday change requests, moving the conversation from 'what we want to build' to 'what problem we are solving and for whom'.
- Facilitate a monthly governance forum with the CHRO, COE leaders, and HR Tech leadership to review roadmap status and make prioritization decisions.
- Establish clear categories of work with agreed criteria for how each is handled, resourced, and tracked.
- Define required artifacts at each stage, including a business requirements brief before any build begins and a test plan with defined owners before any deployment.
- Provide COEs with templates and toolkits for process mapping, role matrices, and workflow documentation.
- Contribute practical input during design sessions on what Workday can and cannot do natively.
- Work with COE System Leads to sharpen requirements briefs from high-level business needs into something specific enough for HR Tech to size and scope.
What We Are Looking For
- Strong experience in HR operations, preferably with a background in Workday implementation or management.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Excel, with experience in data analysis and reporting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to facilitate meetings and discussions with senior leaders.
- Experience in managing and prioritizing Workday change requests, with a focus on business needs and problem-solving.
- Knowledge of Workday's product roadmap and the ability to bring recommendations to governance.
