About the Role

IndieKidz GmbH is seeking a talented and organized HR/Recruiter Intern to join their team on a part-time, mandatory internship basis. This internship, which lasts for three months, is an unpaid opportunity to gain hands-on experience in recruitment and HR operations within a dynamic startup environment. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working remotely, managing tasks independently, and collaborating closely with the founder and core team.

As an HR/Recruiter Intern, you will play a crucial role in sourcing, screening, and scheduling candidates across the EU and India. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve using a variety of tools and platforms to manage the recruitment pipeline, ensuring that all hiring processes are efficient, and maintaining accurate records of candidate interactions.

The role is particularly suited to individuals who are interested in recruitment, HR, or startup operations and are looking to gain practical experience in these areas. What You Will Do

  • Source candidates across the EU and India using various job platforms and tools like join.com.
  • Build and maintain a structured candidate pipeline to ensure a steady flow of potential hires.
  • Screen resumes and shortlist profiles based on the specific needs of each role.
  • Reach out to candidates via phone and email, managing follow-ups and responding to inquiries.
  • Schedule interviews and coordinate with the founder and other team members as necessary.
  • Maintain an accurate hiring tracker and provide status updates on recruitment progress.
  • Support job posting and distribution efforts to maximize reach and attract top talent.
  • Assist in basic employer branding and outreach efforts to enhance the company's reputation and appeal to potential candidates.
  • Collaborate with the team to improve recruitment processes and suggest innovative strategies for attracting and retaining talent.

What We Are Looking For

  • Good communication skills in English, with the ability to articulate the company's vision and values to candidates.
  • Interest in recruitment, HR, or startup operations, with a passion for innovation and growth.
  • Organized and detail-focused, able to manage multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities effectively.
  • Comfortable working remotely and managing tasks independently, with strong self-motivation and discipline.
  • Basic familiarity with LinkedIn, job boards, or other recruitment tools and platforms.
  • Ability to work part-time, approximately 20 hours per week, and commit to the three-month internship duration.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and outside the box.

Nice to Have

  • Prior experience in recruitment, HR, or a related field, particularly in a startup or fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with digital recruitment tools and software beyond the basics, such as applicant tracking systems (ATS).
  • Knowledge of best practices in employer branding and how to leverage social media for recruitment purposes.
  • Certification in HR or recruitment, such as a CIPD or similar professional qualification.
