What You Will Do
- Teach one-to-one online Navajo classes to students of various ages and skill levels
- Develop and implement lesson plans and curriculum to meet the needs of your students
- Evaluate student progress and provide feedback to help them achieve their language learning goals
- Communicate with students and the Language Trainers team to ensure that classes are running smoothly
- Prepare and distribute learning materials, such as worksheets and audio recordings
- Use digital tools, such as language learning software and online platforms, to enhance the learning experience
- Participate in training and professional development to stay up-to-date on the latest language teaching methodologies
- Collaborate with other teachers to develop new curriculum and share best practices
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies as needed
What We Are Looking For
- Native Navajo speaker with excellent communication skills
- Teaching experience, preferably in a one-to-one or online setting
- Strong understanding of language learning principles and methodologies
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Strong technical skills, including the ability to use digital tools and online platforms
- Valid work permit or visa
- Availability to teach once a week, at a time that is convenient for the student
- Experience with curriculum development and lesson planning
