What You Will Do

  • Teach one-to-one online Navajo classes to students of various ages and skill levels

  • Communicate with students and the Language Trainers team to ensure that classes are running smoothly
  • Prepare and distribute learning materials, such as worksheets and audio recordings
  • Use digital tools, such as language learning software and online platforms, to enhance the learning experience
  • Participate in training and professional development to stay up-to-date on the latest language teaching methodologies
  • Collaborate with other teachers to develop new curriculum and share best practices
  • Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies as needed

What We Are Looking For

  • Native Navajo speaker with excellent communication skills
  • Teaching experience, preferably in a one-to-one or online setting
  • Strong understanding of language learning principles and methodologies
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Strong technical skills, including the ability to use digital tools and online platforms
  • Valid work permit or visa
  • Availability to teach once a week, at a time that is convenient for the student
  • Experience with curriculum development and lesson planning
