About the Role
The Immigration Paralegal role at HireHawk is a full-time contractor position that entails supporting a busy immigration law practice. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for preparing and managing employment-based and family-based immigration cases, ensuring that all documentation is accurate and compliant. Your day-to-day tasks will involve collaborating closely with attorneys, gathering client information, and preparing immigration forms.The ideal candidate will have a strong background in U.S. and Canadian immigration law, with hands-on experience preparing DS-160 and DS-260 forms. You will be working independently in a remote environment, so it is essential that you are self-motivated, organized, and able to manage your time effectively.

What You Will Do
- Prepare and manage employment-based and family-based immigration case files
- Complete and review DS-160 and DS-260 forms accurately based on client-provided information
- Gather and review supporting documentation to ensure applications are complete and compliant
- Generate immigration case documentation using Serenade immigration software
- Draft supporting letters and assemble application packages using established templates and workflows
- Organize and maintain case files and documentation in OneDrive or similar shared systems
- Review applications for accuracy, completeness, and compliance prior to attorney review
- Identify and resolve common DS-160 issues including corrections, updates, and consular submission requirements
- Maintain organized case workflows to ensure efficient preparation and timely filings
- Support attorneys by delivering well-prepared, review-ready case packages
What We Are Looking For
- 1-2+ years of experience working in U.S. and Canadian immigration law
- Hands-on experience preparing DS-160 and DS-260 forms
- Strong familiarity with U.S. nonimmigrant visa categories, including B1/B2, E-2, L-1, O-1, H-1B, and related classifications
- Experience preparing employment-based and family-based immigration applications
- Ability to gather client information and accurately prepare immigration forms
- Experience reviewing DS-160 applications for completeness and compliance prior to attorney review
- Experience using Serenade immigration software
- Ability to prepare case documentation using templates and standardized workflows
- Experience organizing legal documentation in shared file systems such as OneDrive
- Strong written English communication skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
Nice to Have
- Experience supporting U.S. and Canadian law firms remotely
