Job Description

## About the Role Linear is seeking an experienced Implementation Manager to oversee the successful rollout of its product development system to enterprise customers. This critical role will involve coordinating with various teams, including Customer Success, Solutions Engineering, and customer teams, to ensure timely and high-quality implementation. As a key member of the Linear team, the Implementation Manager will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive implementation plans, managing risk, and ensuring stakeholder accountability.

## What You Will Do - Own end-to-end implementation plans for enterprise customers, including timeline, milestones, dependencies, risk, and stakeholder accountability - Run the handoff from Sales at deal close in partnership with Customer Success and Solutions Engineering, validating services scope, timeline commitments, complexity signals, and migration readiness - Coordinate workspace architecture, migration, and integration workstreams across customer IT, Solutions Engineering, and engineering escalations - Build the enablement calendar in partnership with Customer Education, driving persona-based training plans, and running wave-by-wave rollout planning - Own go-live execution and the first 30 days post-launch, including adoption tracking, rapid issue triage, and a structured handoff to the CSM - Define and enforce the services engagement model, ensuring every enterprise deal has a clear scope, deliverables, and boundaries before kickoff - Build the implementation playbook, turning each rollout into a documented, repeatable framework that scales with the business - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate risks, ensuring successful implementation and high customer satisfaction - Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, sales teams, and internal teams - Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices, applying this knowledge to continuously improve implementation processes and outcomes

## What We Are Looking For - 5+ years of experience in implementation management, technical program management, or enterprise onboarding at a B2B SaaS company - Proven track record of managing multi-workstream, multi-stakeholder enterprise rollouts, with a preference for 1,000+ user deployments - Deep fluency with structured project management, including implementation plans, dependencies, owners, and risk tracking - Ability to coordinate technical and non-technical teams without owning the technical execution directly - Strong executive communication skills, with experience running a steering committee, delivering VP-level status updates, and working with customer IT admins - Experience defining and enforcing services scope, including scoping engagements, setting expectations on hours and deliverables, and managing scope creep - Familiarity with enterprise migration patterns, SSO/SCIM provisioning, integration configuration at scale, or experience working alongside Solutions Engineering or Professional Services - Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and develop effective solutions - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and internal teams

## Nice to Have - Experience working with AI-powered software development tools and platforms - Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and version control systems such as Git - Certification in project management, such as PMP or PRINCE2 - Experience working in a remote-first company, with a strong understanding of async collaboration and intentional moments to connect in person - Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and compliance requirements, such as GDPR or HIPAA
