About the Role
The Implementation Specialist at Plaid will play a crucial role in guiding the company's most strategic enterprise customers as they integrate with Plaid's solutions. This involves ensuring that customers are properly onboarded and that the Plaid solution is successfully implemented and launched. The Implementation team is responsible for managing multiple implementations and customers simultaneously, staying up-to-date on Plaid's technology and new product offerings, and driving implementation efficiency. As a key member of this team, you will work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, account management, and product development, to deliver exceptional customer experiences and drive business growth.The role of an Implementation Specialist is multifaceted and requires a unique blend of technical, business, and project management skills. You will serve as a trusted advisor to customers, providing technical scoping and design, project management, and creative problem-solving to ensure successful implementations. Your expertise will be instrumental in establishing and maintaining strong relationships with customers and driving long-term success.
What You Will Do
- Work with Plaid's most strategic enterprise customers to build out applications and platforms across various verticals, including lending, wealth management, and financial management
- Own all aspects of customer engagement, including technical scoping and design, project management, and creative problem-solving
- Establish and own correspondence with technical stakeholders, including project and product managers, engineers, and senior leadership
- Lead effective onsite meetings throughout the implementation phase, including kickoff, technical integration reviews, and pre- and post-launch support
- Partner with account executives, sales engineers, account managers, and technical account managers to support customers in building out end-to-end workflows
- Work cross-functionally to improve the customer onboarding experience by collecting and translating customer and partner feedback into meaningful product insights
- Build repeatable playbooks and refined implementation motions to drive implementation efficiency
- Stay up-to-date on Plaid's technology and new product offerings
- Manage and execute complex technical projects with a customer-first attitude and strong sense of empathy
What We Are Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in a client-facing and/or technology-focused role, combining business experience and technical acumen
- Experience working with enterprise-level customers and managing complex technical projects
- Strong technical skills, including experience working with APIs, OAuth, webhooks, and other technologies
- Excellent project management and communication skills, with the ability to provide technical details to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Experience working cross-functionally with different teams and types of people
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with a continuous desire to improve technical acumen
- Ability to quickly learn new technologies and understand complex systems

- Experience working in the fintech industry or a related field
- Knowledge of financial institutions and banking systems
