About the Role
The Improvement Optimization Advisor plays a critical role in driving transformational change across Geisinger's operations. As a key member of the improvement team, you will utilize your expertise in project management, data analysis, and process improvement to identify areas of opportunity and develop strategic solutions. Your work will have a direct impact on the Patient experience, safety, staff satisfaction, quality, timeliness, and efficiency of Geisinger's services.Day-to-day, you will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to gather data, perform research, and complete analytics to inform improvement initiatives. Your ability to communicate complex ideas effectively and build strong relationships with stakeholders will be essential in this role.
What You Will Do
- Facilitate multidisciplinary improvement teams to achieve transformational strategic and tactical project results
- Gather data, perform research, and complete analytics to inform improvement initiatives
- Provide project management for operational and clinical staff to achieve project milestones
- Identify and analyze performance opportunities in operational, clinical, sales, human resources, marketing, information technology, and financial processes
- Streamline clinical and operational workflows to support improved outcomes and efficiency
- Assess the local stakeholder environment and build support for improvement opportunities among line staff, providers, and leaders
- Manage relationships to achieve transformational change with staff, providers, and leaders
- Use analytic, experiential, and subjective assessment skills to identify substantial performance improvement opportunities
- Document work products and methodologies to enable analysis and knowledge transfer
- Design and develop project-specific education plans and content
- Conduct training sessions for staff, providers, and leaders
What We Are Looking For
- Bachelor's Degree in a Healthcare-Related Field (Required)
- Minimum of 3 years of related work experience (Required)
- Six Sigma Certification ( Preferred)
- Proficiency in Excel and project management tools
- Strong relationship-building and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment
- Experience with data analysis and process improvement methodologies
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
Nice to Have
- Master's Degree in a Healthcare-Related Field
- Experience with clinical and administrative systems
- Knowledge of best practices in operational and clinical workflows
- Certification in a related field (e.g., Lean, Agile)
