About the Role

As a Business Development Manager for Industrial Electric Motor & VFD Regional Sales at ITT Inc., you will be responsible for identifying, developing, and generating new business opportunities with potential clients in the Gulf East region. Your primary focus will be on promoting the company's VIDAR technology, a patented motor with embedded variable speed intelligence designed for harsh industrial environments. You will work closely with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions to drive growth and revenue.

The role entails a high level of autonomy, with the flexibility to work remotely and travel to client sites and tradeshows as needed. You will be part of a dynamic team that values innovation, creativity, and collaboration. Your success will be measured by your ability to meet sales targets, build strong relationships with clients, and contribute to the growth and development of the company's VIDAR technology.

What You Will Do

  • Identify and research potential clients in the Gulf East region
  • Develop and maintain client relationships through regular communication and site visits
  • Work with potential clients to identify equipment for pilots and coordinate the implementation of these pilots
  • Coordinate and assist with client stakeholders to get new products approved
  • Negotiate contract terms with clients and communicate with internal stakeholders
  • Make and give presentations to prospective clients and internal executives
  • Travel to client sites and tradeshows as needed to win new business
  • Assist in developing sales strategy for new products
  • Work with product and marketing teams to develop marketing content
  • Provide feedback and insights to the sales and marketing teams to improve the sales process

What We Are Looking For

  • A bachelor's or master's degree in engineering, business, or a related field
  • At least 5 years of experience in B2B sales or business development
  • Demonstrated ability to sell to industrial customers at an executive level
  • Familiarity with the industrial markets, electric motors, and variable frequency drives
  • Understanding of electrical and mechanical systems
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Proficiency in Excel and other sales tools

  • Experience with CRM software and sales automation tools
  • Knowledge of the Gulf East region's industrial market and key players
