About the Role
The Infor Presales Consultant plays a pivotal role in designing, positioning, and demonstrating industry-specific ERP solutions across manufacturing and distribution sectors. This involves close collaboration with sales teams to identify client needs and tailor solutions that leverage the full Infor product suite, including Infor M3, Infor LN, Infor CloudSuite Industrial (SyteLine), Infor XA, and Infor Edge. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of manufacturing processes, supply chain planning, and finance modules, as well as the ability to analyze current systems, identify gaps, and recommend best-fit solutions.Day-to-day, the role entails engaging with clients to gather business, functional, and technical requirements, analyzing current systems, and identifying areas for improvement. The consultant will work closely with the sales team to position Infor solutions against competitors such as SAP and Oracle, emphasizing the benefits of industry-specific CloudSuites, modern UX, and AI capabilities.
The role is critical in supporting various industries, including industrial manufacturing, automotive & aerospace, food & beverage, and distribution & logistics, by positioning appropriate products based on complexity and scale. The consultant will also act as a trusted advisor to business and IT stakeholders, supporting account executives throughout the sales lifecycle and conducting workshops, discovery sessions, and executive briefings.
What You Will Do
- Engage clients to gather business, functional, and technical requirements
- Analyze current systems and identify gaps
- Recommend best-fit solutions across various Infor products
- Deliver tailored, industry-specific demos
- Build compelling business scenarios to highlight the value of Infor solutions
- Lead responses for RFPs/RFIs/RFQs, including preparing solution architecture diagrams, scope and effort estimations, and bill of materials (BOM) and licensing inputs
- Collaborate with sales for pricing and positioning
- Demonstrate deep understanding of ERP modules, including finance, supply chain management, and manufacturing
- Explain cloud vs. on-prem deployments, integration architecture, and data migration strategies
- Support industries such as industrial manufacturing, automotive & aerospace, food & beverage, and distribution & logistics
- Position Infor solutions against competitors, emphasizing industry-specific CloudSuites, modern UX, and AI capabilities
- Conduct workshops, discovery sessions, and executive briefings
- Act as a trusted advisor to business and IT stakeholders
What We Are Looking For
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, including MRP, BOM, APS, and shop floor control
- Understanding of supply chain planning and execution
- Familiarity with finance modules, including GL, AP, and AR
- ERP presales/consulting experience, preferably with Infor products
- Understanding of cloud (SaaS) architecture, APIs & integrations, and data flows and reporting
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, IT, or Business
- 3-12 years of experience in ERP, with hands-on exposure to one or more Infor products (M3, LN, CSI/SyteLine, XA)
- Certifications in Infor products are an added advantage
- Ability to communicate complex solutions to clients and stakeholders
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Nice to Have
- Experience with Infor OS, Infor ION, and Infor Birst
- Knowledge of competitive ERP solutions, such as SAP and Oracle
- Familiarity with AI-driven insights and automation
- Experience in supporting multiple industries, including industrial manufacturing, automotive & aerospace, and food & beverage
- Certification in project management or a related field
