About the Role
The Bid Director position at Accenture's Infrastructure & Capital Projects division is a senior-level role that requires a unique blend of proposal management expertise, sector-specific knowledge, and leadership skills. As a Bid Director, you will be responsible for developing and delivering complex infrastructure projects, including factories, grids, transit systems, and public infrastructure. You will work closely with a team of project managers, engineers, technologists, and strategists to blend real-world experience with digital innovation and AI.The role entails day-to-day management of proposal teams, establishment of governance, and operation at the executive level. You will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with clients, identifying new business opportunities, and developing strategic plans to pursue these opportunities.
What You Will Do
- Develop and deliver complex infrastructure projects, including factories, grids, transit systems, and public infrastructure
- Manage proposal teams and establish governance
- Operate at the executive level, building and maintaining relationships with clients
- Identify new business opportunities and develop strategic plans to pursue these opportunities
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, technologists, and strategists to blend real-world experience with digital innovation and AI
- Develop and manage budgets, schedules, and resource allocation plans
- Conduct market research and analyze industry trends to stay ahead of the competition
- Build and maintain a network of contacts within the industry
- Develop and deliver presentations to clients and stakeholders
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients and partners
- Manage and resolve conflicts and issues that arise during project execution
What We Are Looking For
- Minimum 10 years of experience in proposal management at a senior level
- Sector-specific experience in the A/E/C industries
- Strong understanding of public agency procurement and pursuit strategies across transportation, utilities, airports, and related infrastructure sectors
- Ability to build and lead teams, establish governance, and operate credibly at the executive level
- Proficiency with CRM, content libraries, and proposal tools (Adobe, MS Office, etc.)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (engineering, architecture, business, etc.)
