About the Role
The Infrastructure Software Engineer will play a crucial role in re-architecting the Identity systems to enable Dropbox's success as a multi-product company. This role entails designing and developing large-scale distributed systems, APIs, and persistent storage solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software engineering and experience with Identity & Auth Platforms.The Identity & Auth Platform is a critical component of Dropbox's infrastructure, and the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring its scalability, reliability, and security. This role will involve collaboration with cross-functional teams, including product engineering and internal teams that depend on Identity.
What You Will Do
- Provide technical leadership to a strong, well-respected team, augmenting it on the more senior side
- Collaborate with product engineering and internal teams to implement wide-spanning use cases
- Design and develop large-scale distributed systems, APIs, and persistent storage solutions
- Contribute to the development of the Identity Platform services at scale, enabling ease of operations
- Develop and maintain technical roadmaps and strategies for the Identity & Auth Platform
- Collaborate with other engineering teams to ensure seamless integration with the Identity & Auth Platform
- Participate in the design and development of new features and functionality for the Identity & Auth Platform
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to the Identity & Auth Platform
- Develop and maintain technical documentation for the Identity & Auth Platform
What We Are Looking For
- Strong background in software engineering, with a focus on Identity & Auth Platforms
- Experience with designing and developing large-scale distributed systems, APIs, and persistent storage solutions
- Strong understanding of Excel and its applications in software engineering
- Experience with collaboration tools, such as Git and JIRA
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work with cross-functional teams
- Experience with cloud-based technologies, such as AWS or Azure
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues
- Experience with technical leadership and mentoring
