About the Role
Cresta is seeking a highly skilled Infrastructure Software Engineer to join its team in Germany. As a member of the infrastructure team, you will play a crucial role in designing, building, and advancing the core infrastructure that enables the engineering team to execute quickly, productively, and securely. You will work in a collaborative but highly autonomous environment, with clear expectations and the freedom to pursue projects that interest you.The infrastructure team is responsible for ensuring the reliability and security of Cresta's multi-cloud Kubernetes clusters and pipelines. You will work closely with engineers to build dev tools that empower developer workflows and deployment infrastructure. Your expertise in Kubernetes, automation, and cloud infrastructure will be essential in driving the company's mission forward.
What You Will Do
- Partner with engineers to build dev tools that empower developer workflows and deployment infrastructure
- Ensure the reliability of multi-cloud Kubernetes clusters and pipelines
- Develop metrics, logging, analytics, and alerting for performance and security across all endpoints and applications
- Implement infrastructure-as-code deployment tooling and supporting services on multiple cloud providers
- Automate operations and engineering to focus on high-priority tasks
- Build machine learning infrastructure that enables AI teams to train, test, and deploy on large-scale datasets
- Collaborate with the engineering team to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions
- Participate in on-call rotations to ensure 24/7 coverage of critical systems
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in cloud infrastructure and automation
What We Are Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, Production Engineering, or equivalent field
- Deep proficiency with coding languages such as Golang or Python
- Deep familiarity with container-related security best practices
- Production experience working with Kubernetes and a deep understanding of the Kubernetes ecosystem
- Experience with Kubernetes templating tools such as Helm or Kustomize
- Experience with IAC tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
- Experience working with AWS and services such as IAM, S3, EC2, and EKS
- Experience with database software such as PostgreSQL
- Experience with GitOps tooling such as Flux or Argo
Nice to Have
- Experience with GPU-enabled clusters
- Experience working with other cloud providers such as Google Cloud and Azure
- Experience with CI/CD such as GitHub Actions
- Certification in Kubernetes administration or a related field
