About the Role
The Senior Sales Engineer role at Fivetran is a critical component of the company's enterprise sales team. As a technical expert, you will work closely with the sales team to understand the complex needs of enterprise clients and demonstrate how Fivetran's data replication solutions can help them achieve their business objectives. Your expertise will be instrumental in identifying functional and technical requirements, supporting a rigorous proof-of-value process, and driving technical wins.In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with a wide range of technologies, including AWS, GCP, Azure, Snowflake, BigQuery, Databricks, Kafka, Grafana, API, Linux, Windows, Python, Java, and RDBM. You will also collaborate with various teams, including Product, Post-Sales Services, Support, and Engineering, to ensure alignment of Fivetran's solutions with enterprise client needs.

As a Senior Sales Engineer, you will play a key role in helping the company achieve this mission by providing technical expertise, developing and delivering functional and technical presentations, and driving technical wins.
What You Will Do
- Work with enterprise clients to understand their business needs, use cases, and data replication requirements
- Develop and deliver functional and technical presentations to enterprise audiences
- Ensure technical wins by leading a rigorous proof-of-value process
- Collaborate with Product, Post-Sales Services, Support, and Engineering teams to ensure alignment of Fivetran's solutions with enterprise client needs
- Develop and maintain relationships with key enterprise clients and partners
- Stay up-to-date on the latest technologies and trends in the data replication and cloud infrastructure space
- Provide technical expertise to the sales team to help drive sales and revenue growth
- Work with clients to identify and prioritize their technical requirements and develop solutions to meet those needs
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of Fivetran's products and services, as well as the competitive landscape
What We Are Looking For
- 5+ years of experience selling IT services or products in an enterprise or similar complex environment
- Strong technical background in data replication, cloud infrastructure, and data technologies
- Experience with modern data analytics technologies, including cloud data warehouses, transformation tools, data catalogs, and BI tools
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Strong technical skills, including experience with Excel, cloud technologies, and data replication solutions
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical problems and develop creative solutions
- Experience working with enterprise clients and developing relationships with key stakeholders
- Strong understanding of the data replication and cloud infrastructure space, including trends, technologies, and best practices
