About the Role

The Inside Sales Representative – Recruitment Specialist role at Gannett is a unique opportunity for sales professionals to make a real impact in the recruitment marketing industry. As a key member of the sales team, you will be responsible for driving new business through fearless prospecting, cold calling, and virtual meetings. Your primary goal will be to help small-to-midsize businesses nationwide find and hire the talent they need to succeed.

The role entails working closely with clients to understand their recruitment needs and delivering consultative solutions that include SEO, SEM, Social Media, OTT/CTV, Display Ads, and more. You will be the go-to partner for businesses looking to grow their teams and will be responsible for managing your own book of business, closing deals, and upselling existing clients.

What You Will Do

  • Drive new business through prospecting, cold calling, and virtual meetings
  • Manage your own book of business, closing deals, and upselling existing clients
  • Deliver consultative solutions that include SEO, SEM, Social Media, OTT/CTV, Display Ads, and more
  • Partner with Client Success Managers to launch and optimize recruitment campaigns
  • Crush your quota with a healthy pipeline, strategic outreach, and unbeatable client experiences
  • Track and manage your success using Salesforce
  • Conduct needs assessments to identify client pain points and develop targeted solutions
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key decision-makers at client companies
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and competitor activity to identify new business opportunities
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop and implement sales strategies
  • Analyze sales data to identify areas for improvement and optimize sales performance

What We Are Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree or 2+ years of inside sales experience (B2B preferred)
  • Strong prospecting and cold calling skills – no fear of the phone
  • Experience in digital marketing or recruitment a plus
  • Tech-savvy with Salesforce (or similar CRM)
  • Competitive, resilient, and self-motivated with excellent communication skills
  • A true team player who thrives on both collaboration and individual wins
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Experience with data analysis and sales performance metrics

Nice to Have

  • Experience with digital marketing tools such as Google Ads, Facebook Ads, or LinkedIn Ads
  • Knowledge of recruitment marketing strategies and best practices
  • Familiarity with CRM software such as HubSpot or Zoho
  • Certification in sales or marketing, such as HubSpot Sales or Google Analytics
  • Experience working in a remote or distributed team environment
