About the Role

The Institutional Research Analyst plays a pivotal role in supporting the university's decision-making processes by analyzing and interpreting complex institutional data. This role is part of the Department of Institutional Research and works closely with various stakeholders to ensure the accuracy and accessibility of institutional data. The successful candidate will be responsible for collecting, validating, and analyzing data related to enrollment, student outcomes, and faculty productivity, and for presenting findings to internal stakeholders and external agencies.

What You Will Do

  • Support the preparation of reports for internal stakeholders and external agencies, including accrediting bodies and government entities
  • Develop data visualizations and dashboards to communicate key institutional metrics effectively
  • Conduct research on higher education trends and best practices to support institutional planning and decision-making
  • Maintain accurate institutional data and ensure compliance with reporting guidelines
  • Collaborate with academic and administrative departments to assess and improve data quality and reporting processes
  • Assist in responding to data requests from university leadership, faculty, and staff
  • Stay informed about emerging technologies, data analytics methodologies, and regulatory changes affecting institutional research

What We Are Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree required; master's degree in a relevant field preferred
  • Minimum of two years of experience in institutional research, data analysis, higher education administration, or a related field
  • Strong analytical and statistical skills, with experience in data visualization and reporting tools
  • Familiarity with institutional research practices, accreditation processes, and higher education data governance
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to present complex data to various audiences
  • Familiarity with relevant institutional research software, databases, and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, SQL, Excel)
  • Knowledge of compliance and reporting standards related to state and federal agencies
