Instructional Designer - Home Services

About the Role

The role is part of an established Agile environment, where the team leverages AI to optimize workflows and deliver mobile-first learning solutions. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams, designing learning objectives, and developing engaging learning experiences using a range of tools and technologies.

What You Will Do

• Create learning objectives, design documents, storyboards, and other learning design deliverables
• Develop learning solutions using project-based templates and test and debug deliverables for quality assurance
• Ensure learning solutions align with desired outcomes and partner with Learning Strategy Senior Managers on confirming needs analysis and instructional strategy
• Proactively communicate task and project status to client groups and management
• Assist in the interviewing, selection, and onboarding of contractors and associates
• Design targeted programs that empower managers to effectively lead and coach a distributed sales team
• Develop learning solutions using standard eLearning development tools and software, such as Articulate Storyline and Presenter, Adobe Captivate
• Collaborate with the strategy team to identify and prioritize learning needs
• Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the Home Services business and in-home installation processes

What We Are Looking For

• 3+ years of experience in instructional design and adult learning theories
• Proficiency with software including Microsoft Office and standard eLearning development tools
• Basic knowledge of project management principles and MS Project
• Excellent written communication skills and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in an Agile environment and leverage AI in learning design
• Experience designing training that helps leaders effectively manage and coach sales teams
• Highly proficient in Articulate Rise, Storyline, and Vyond, as well as supplementary tools
• A solid understanding of the Home Services business, in-home installation processes, and consultative selling skills

Nice to Have

• Experience with dynamic delivery and building engaging mobile-first learning and interactive ILT/vILT experiences
• Familiarity with modern ID workflow and managing projects in an Agile framework
• Knowledge of consultative mindset and leadership and sales enablement
• Experience with InDesign, Word, interactive PDFs/PPTs
