Job Description

## About the Role As a Product Development and Coverage Analysis Manager at ProAssurance, you will be responsible for overseeing the development and regulatory implementation of new insurance products, primarily specialized E&S coverage offerings. This role will require you to work closely with the Underwriting, Legal, and Marketing Departments to develop new insurance products that meet the unique needs of the niche industry that Medmarc serves. You will be the subject matter expert, both internally and externally, on Medmarc's coverage offerings.

## What You Will Do - Oversee the development of new insurance products, including drafting coverage language and providing creative coverage solutions to meet the unique needs of the niche industry that Medmarc serves - Develop a strategic vision for Medmarc's coverage offering, including advising on coverage needs in the marketplace and strategies for growing new product lines profitably - Manage the planning, development, drafting, implementation, and introduction of new and revised insurance products - Develop policy language for new and revised product offerings - Advise on alternative coverage solutions in the context of the current legal and competitive environments - Seek input from key stakeholders, including Medmarc customers, on the content of Medmarc forms - Prepare communications to leadership regarding form development and management - Coordinate with business units outside of Medmarc and within the greater ProAssurance Company that are working on new product initiatives - Provide day-to-day coverage analysis and consultation to support underwriting and account-management efforts - Consult on and provide interpretation of coverage language - Monitor and report on the marketplace, including analyzing the competition with respect to product offerings

## What We Are Looking For - Strong Excel skills and experience with data analysis and visualization - 5+ years of experience in the insurance industry, preferably in a product development or coverage analysis role - Strong understanding of the life sciences products liability line of business and the unique needs of the niche industry that Medmarc serves - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams - Strong leadership and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously - Experience with policy language development and coverage analysis - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and develop innovative solutions - Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as business, law, or a related field

## Nice to Have - Experience with insurance software and systems, such as policy administration systems and claims management systems - Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance issues in the insurance industry - Experience with data analytics and data visualization tools, such as Tableau or Power BI - Certification in a related field, such as the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation
