## About the Role As an interim PPC manager at Portman Dental Care, you will be responsible for overseeing the company's paid search activity, leading external agency relationships, and driving patient acquisition across the UK. This is a hands-on, commercially-minded role that requires a deep understanding of multi-account PPC at scale. You will work closely with the digital marketing team to develop and execute a comprehensive PPC strategy that aligns with the company's business objectives. The successful candidate will have a strong background in paid search, with experience in managing large-scale PPC campaigns across Google Ads, Meta Ads, and Microsoft Ads. You will be well-versed in the latest platform updates, algorithm changes, and competitor activity, with the ability to adapt your strategy accordingly. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team and make a real impact on the company's digital marketing efforts. ## What You Will Do - Develop and maintain a comprehensive PPC strategy that reflects the company's multi-account, multi-location structure - Oversee campaign structure, bidding strategy, budget allocation, and audience targeting across the full account estate - Lead local PPC activity, including geo-targeting, location extensions, local intent keywords, and radius-based campaign management - Ensure campaigns are structured to capture demand across all relevant paid channels, including Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, and social paid formats - Work collaboratively with the SEO function to align paid and organic strategies, avoid keyword cannibalization, and share audience and intent insights - Develop a strong working understanding of the lead management ecosystem across the practice portfolio - Define and monitor conversion events at each stage of the patient enquiry journey, from ad click through to booked appointment - Identify and act on conversion rate optimization opportunities across landing pages, ad copy, and audience targeting - Liaise with internal teams to ensure lead volumes are matched to practice capacity and CRM workflows - Own PPC reporting, building and maintaining dashboards that give clear visibility of paid performance across the estate - Report regularly to the digital marketing team lead and wider stakeholders, translating data into clear next best actions and forward plans ## What We Are Looking For - 3+ years of experience in managing large-scale PPC campaigns across Google Ads, Meta Ads, and Microsoft Ads - Strong understanding of PPC principles, including campaign structure, bidding strategies, and audience targeting - Experience in managing external agency relationships and leading regular review meetings - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data sets and make informed decisions - Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to present complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders - Experience in using GA4 and Looker Studio to analyze and optimize PPC performance - Strong understanding of the dental industry and patient acquisition strategies - Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including SEO, lead management, and CRM teams ## Nice to Have - Experience in managing paid social campaigns across Meta and other social platforms - Knowledge of lead management platforms and CRM systems - Certification in Google Ads, Meta Ads, or Microsoft Ads - Experience in working with large datasets and data visualization tools ## Benefits and Perks - Competitive salary and benefits package - Opportunity to work with a dynamic and growing dental group - Collaborative and supportive team environment - Professional development opportunities, including training and certification programs - Flexible working arrangements, including remote work options - Access to the latest digital marketing tools and technologies - Quarterly team-building events and social activities
