The Interior Design Specifier position at Bold Business is a critical component of their effort to deliver sophisticated, high-performance workplace environments globally. As an independent contractor, you will work closely with multinational clients, sales teams, and designers to translate complex requirements into compelling, buildable commercial interiors. Your expertise will be pivotal in leading the technical execution of office spaces, contributing to space planning, and visual storytelling.

The role demands a deep understanding of commercial furniture systems, especially those from brands like Teknion, Haworth, Steelcase, and Kimball. You will be responsible for designing and presenting dynamic, visually compelling workplace solutions that meet the high standards of Bold Business's top-tier U.S. commercial furniture dealer clients. What You Will Do

  • Design and present dynamic, visually compelling workplace solutions using CET Designer (or similar) and AutoCAD.
  • Translate client goals into high-performance commercial environments with a focus on Teknion systems.
  • Produce precise drawings, renderings, specifications, finish palettes, and presentation materials that directly support sales strategy and drive project wins.
  • Masterfully manage Humanscale ergonomic integrations and Open Line sourcing to provide comprehensive, curated FF&E packages.
  • Lead detailed space planning efforts, integrating wall and panel systems, architectural plans, code requirements (ADA, LEED, WELL), and site conditions into accurate, buildable designs.
  • Collaborate with sales teams and designers to produce innovative workspace solutions and polished visual presentations.
  • Ensure all technical documentation and presentations meet the high standards of quality and professionalism expected by Bold Business and its clients.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of commercial furniture systems, including but not limited to those from Teknion, Haworth, Steelcase, and Kimball.
  • Stay updated on the latest trends and developments in commercial interior design and space planning.

What We Are Looking For

  • A design-driven CET expert with experience in supporting top-tier commercial furniture dealers.
  • Proficiency in CET Designer (or similar) and AutoCAD.
  • Strong understanding of commercial furniture systems, particularly those from Teknion, Haworth, Steelcase, and Kimball.
  • Experience in leading the technical execution of office spaces and contributing to space planning and visual storytelling.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote setting.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to present complex ideas in a clear, compelling manner.
  • Strong technical skills, including proficiency in producing precise drawings, renderings, specifications, and presentation materials.
