About the Role

As a Backend Engineer on the GitLab Operate team, you will help self-managed customers run GitLab with assurance. You will build and support the deployment tooling, infrastructure, and automation behind how GitLab is installed, upgraded, and operated.

Responsibilities

  • Work across Omnibus GitLab, GitLab Helm Charts, the GitLab Environment Toolkit (GET), and the GitLab Operator to improve reliability, security, and scalability in production-grade environments.
  • Partner with Distribution Engineers, Site Reliability Engineers, Release Managers, Security, and Development teams to make self-managed GitLab easier to use across a wide range of platforms.
