Inventory Planner

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical background, with hands-on experience in demand forecasting platforms and AI-driven analytics tools. You will be responsible for evaluating sales forecasts, executing inventory purchases, and leveraging AI-powered demand forecasting platforms to drive replenishment decisions. Your ability to work with cross-functional teams, including Merchandising and Marketing, will be essential in developing strategies to move aged inventory and optimize supply chain operations.

What You Will Do

• Evaluate sales forecasts and execute inventory purchases to support sales optimization, turn expectations, and in-stock goals
• Leverage AI-powered demand forecasting platforms to drive replenishment decisions and improve forecast accuracy
• Own and maintain supplier configurations and replenishment parameters within planning and ERP systems
• Investigate forecast exceptions and drive accuracy and bias improvement through data-informed adjustments
• Monitor key inventory KPIs and drive corrective action to optimize supply chain operations
• Build and maintain reporting in Looker, Excel, and AI-driven analytics tools to inform business decisions
• Partner with Merchandising and Marketing to develop strategies to move aged inventory and optimize supply chain operations
• Work closely with suppliers to ensure follow-through on replenishment orders and forecasted commitments
• Liaise with Billing and Accounting on invoicing and receipt discrepancies
• Track orders from PO submission through EDI confirmation and receipt into fulfillment centers
• Recommend stock balance transfers between warehouse locations based on demand signals and fulfillment data

What We Are Looking For

• 4-6 years of inventory planning and procurement experience in a DTC or digitally native eCommerce environment
• Demonstrated success managing a high-SKU, high-velocity assortment
• Hands-on experience with demand forecasting platforms, such as Relex, Toolio, or Anaplan
• Advanced Excel proficiency required; Looker or equivalent BI tool experience strongly preferred
• Proven track record against core inventory metrics: in-stock rate, turn, weeks of supply, forecast accuracy, and aged inventory reduction
• Strong cross-functional communication skills, with the ability to translate planning data into actionable insights
• Experience working with AI-powered planning tools and analytics platforms
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities

Nice to Have

• Experience with automated reorder triggers, anomaly detection, or scenario modeling
• Familiarity with sustainable supply chain practices and environmentally responsible business operations
• Certification in inventory management or supply chain optimization
