Inventory Solutions Specialist - (VMI) - Remote in South Florida

About the Role

The successful candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for managing and facilitating the disposition of inventory at customer sites, reducing exposure to excess stock, dead stock, and discontinued items. Your expertise in Excel will be essential in performing inventory audits, analyzing data, and identifying trends to inform business decisions.

As a key member of the HD Supply team, you will be expected to demonstrate a high level of professionalism, integrity, and a customer-centric approach. You will be working in a dynamic environment, collaborating with internal stakeholders, customers, and vendors to deliver results-driven solutions.

What You Will Do

• Perform inventory audits, replenishment, and customer training for inventory management programs within assigned territory
• Drive business growth within territory with new and existing customers by serving as a point-of-contact for inventory managed solutions
• Manage and facilitate the disposition of inventory at customer sites to reduce exposure to excess stock, dead stock, and discontinued items
• Audit and replenish inventory to maintain stock levels, resolve customer issues related to inventory adjustments and discrepancies
• Assist with the implementation and setup of new inventory managed solutions at customer sites, including designing inventory solutions, receiving product, and stocking and labeling finished goods
• Work with cross-functional sales teams as the subject matter expert for inventory solutions tasks
• Help train new hires, vendors, customers, and other functional areas on inventory solutions
• Present to customers and leadership on market conditions and concerns
• Analyze data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders

What We Are Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in business or a related area
• At least 2 years of experience in inventory auditing or warehouse operations
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Strong understanding of data analysis techniques
• Certification in a related field (e.g., inventory management, supply chain management)
• Experience with project management and coordination

Nice to Have

• Experience with inventory management software and systems
• Knowledge of lean principles and process improvement methodologies
• Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
• Certification in a related field (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean Six Sigma)
