About the Role
Crossing Hurdles is seeking an Investigative Journalist to join their team, working on a contract basis. As an Investigative Journalist, you will be responsible for researching and writing in-depth articles on various topics. Your work will be published on the company's online platform, and you will be expected to build a strong relationship with your audience. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of digital media and the ability to work independently.The role is remote, and you will be expected to work 10-40 hours per week. You will be part of a team of journalists and editors, and you will be expected to collaborate and contribute to the team's efforts. What You Will Do
- Research and write in-depth articles on various topics
- Conduct interviews with sources and build relationships with them
- Work independently to meet deadlines and produce high-quality content
- Collaborate with editors and other journalists to contribute to the team's efforts
- Build a strong online presence and engage with the audience
- Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in the field and adjust your content accordingly
- Utilize digital tools and platforms to research and write articles
- Provide constructive feedback to colleagues and receive feedback from editors
- Contribute to the development of the company's online platform
What We Are Looking For
- A strong portfolio of written work, preferably in investigative journalism
- Excellent writing and research skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
